A FARM IN THE HEART OF FLORENCE

In Florence, Foody Farm overlooks Corso dei Tintori, a few hundred meters from the National Library, in the very central Santa Croce district.
Its large space has been subdivided into a succession of rooms with a simultaneous blend of the classic and the contemporary.

The kitchen is the heart of this milieu, with a bar area and a counter dedicated to fine Tuscan wines and craft beers.

The premises have been recreated with contemporary taste but with attention to the chic rural iconography still found in many Tuscan country residences. Subtle references connect this series of rooms evoking the once typical ambience of an old farmhouse set amidst the Tuscan hills.

There is no trace of an obsolete trattoria-style rusticity, but rather a subtle trompe-l’oeil that recalls ancient tiles and bleached wood or even suggestions of old paint and thin wrought-iron chandeliers.
This delight, made up of allusions and elegant references to an almost Arcadian world, is further underlined by the accessories used to lay the table and present the food. Each course is a surprise: as if to say: dishes … no dishes: wood, steel, lava stone, terracotta. No course is served as you might expect.

Foody Farm’s comforting colors range from a patchwork of warm tones covering the booths and benches in the first rooms to the cooler tones in those that bring to mind a vegetable garden or the courtyard of this imaginative and gracious farm where it is easy to feel comfortable.
